“In 2008, Goddesses Rising started in New York City when goddessjaz (Janna Zinzi) and goddessangelika (Angelika Peacock) united to promote healthy sexual liberation and positive images of women in Hip-Hop. We got our taste for radio through participation in WBAI’s 99.5 FM’s Hip-Hop Takeover and Rise Up Radio, and now Goddesses Rising is growing into a media and event production company.

Now that both founders have relocated to LA during the age of Aquarius, we are back and ready to re-launch the blog with a podcast including discussions on issues facing women of color and alternative means of healing. Our programs and events are sex positive and LGBTQ -friendly as we believe in inter-sectional feminist theory.

Goddesses Rising aims to empower women to embrace the divine feminine within so our podcast will feed your soul every other Sunday covering the latest in music, pop culture, metaphysics, politics, goddess theory and more.”
